“This new construction will facilitate comfortable living with the tools and space ready to support the development of gardens, orchards, small livestock, and small batch manufacturing. We’re excited to see how this particular structure contributes to new endeavors.”

7 homes planned for rent at
Farmville Gardens now under construction
SPRING, 2026
Thank you for your interest in our small rural project we call Farmville Gardens. Our motivation is to create a close, family-friendly, intimate community of positive, loving, caring people who want to grow food, raise some animals, share meals, assets and chores. We want all involved to have a wonderful quality of life!
When we first began, we imagined people buying a lot and building and owning their own homes on our 15 acre rural site. Over the past three years, we have built a bardominium, and have a garden shed/greenhouse under construction, along with the first home. Over time, paying attention to market realities and obtaining feedback, and with thoughtful reflection, our structure has changed to:
Create a pocket neighborhood* of seven single family homes rented to folks with shared values and qualities of character to be here. The lease document works to assure a great quality of life, protects residents, the culture, and promotes cooperative well-being for all. And for residents to have a net positive financial benefit as well, all made possible with a low threshold for entry.
We seek people who love others, like to be of service, and have interpersonal relationship skills that support a healthy, yet diverse community life.
“The objective is to design livable systems for people and planet that support and mimic nature’s own ability to create real abundance, with little work on our part.”
Bill Wilson, Midwest Permaculture
