“This new construction will facilitate comfortable living with the tools and space ready to support the development of gardens, orchards, small livestock, and small batch manufacturing. We’re excited to see how this particular structure contributes to new endeavors.”

– Jay Butler

Designing Our Regenerative Future

Our design is the hybrid of a permaculture homestead and a pocket neighborhood. We seek to demonstrate all the principles of permaculture and seek others who share this vision.

“The objective is to design livable systems for people and planet that support and mimic nature’s own ability to create real abundance, with little work on our part.”

Bill Wilson, Midwest Permaculture

What Do We Offer?

Regenerative Abundance

We are focused on creating a regenerative lifestyle with appreciation for growing abundance for all our needs; including food, exercise, laughter, fellowship, wisdom, and love.

Passive Home Design

We favor homes that are designed to be affordable to maintain and repair. We are inspired by the principles of passive home design, which reduces the ongoing costs of heating and cooling.

Intentional Empowerment

Our community of homesteaders collaborate to become more and accomplish more than is possible as islands of individuals and have more fun doing it.  Resident members will participate in the decision-making process to continually improve our neighborhood.

Limited Space

We have limited home spaces in this new project.  There are only 5 private lots left.  Thoughtfulness and care by all parties is needed to explore participation and ownership at Farmville Gardens.  We are not in a hurry.  Finding the right fit for all parties is our priority.
